Lions Creek Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed through our Lions Creek Retail & Club online store at lionscreek.ca. It does not apply to wholesale or Lions Creek Direct distribution orders, which may be subject to separate terms.

1. Where We Ship
We currently ship to addresses within Canada only.
- We do not ship to P.O. Boxes where carriers do not accept liquid or food items.
- For wholesale, bulk or export orders outside Canada, please contact us directly or visit Lions Creek Direct (select link in Footer).
2. Order Processing Times
We aim to prepare and dispatch orders as quickly as possible while packing your bottles safely.
- Processing time: typically 2–4 business days from the date your order is placed.
- Orders received on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
- During peak periods (holidays, special promotions), processing times may be slightly longer.
You will receive an order confirmation email when your order is placed, and a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
3. Shipping Methods & Carriers
We ship using reputable carriers such as Canada Post and, where appropriate, other national couriers.
- The available shipping options and estimated transit times will be displayed at checkout based on your shipping address.
- All delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Weather, carrier delays, or other factors beyond our control may impact delivery times.
Once a parcel is handed to the carrier, title and risk of loss pass to you, in line with our Terms of Service.
4. Shipping Rates & $25 Shipping Discount
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on:
- The weight and size of your order,
- The delivery address, and
- The shipping method selected.
4.1 Orders of $250+ – Shipping Discount
To support larger orders and club-style purchases, we currently offer a shipping discount on qualifying orders:
- For online orders with a merchandise subtotal of $250 CAD or more (before discounts, shipping, and taxes), we apply a $25 CAD shipping discount per order.
- This discount will either:
- Reduce your shipping charge at checkout, or
- Be applied manually as a shipping adjustment (where our system or app requires it).
This is a shipping discount, not a guaranteed free-shipping program. In some cases, especially for remote or overweight shipments, you may still see a shipping charge after the discount is applied.
We may adjust, pause, or discontinue this discount from time to time at our sole discretion. Any changes will apply only to future orders and will be reflected at checkout.
5. Packaging & Leak Protection
Your oils and balsamics are heavy glass bottles and food products. We take special care to package them securely:
- Bottles are individually protected and grouped in sturdy cartons suitable for shipping.
- Orders are sometimes placed in leak-containment packaging (e.g., inner bags) so that, in the unlikely event of breakage, carriers can handle parcels safely.
- We may adjust packaging configurations (boxes, inserts, padding) to optimize both protection and cost.
If your order arrives with visible damage or leakage, please refer to Section 7 – Damaged, Leaking, or Incorrect Orders.
6. Order Tracking
Most shipped orders include tracking:
- Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to the carrier’s tracking page.
- You can use this link to monitor estimated delivery dates and status updates.
If you have not received a tracking email within a reasonable time after your order is placed, please check your spam/junk folder, then contact us at sales@lionscreek.ca.
7. Damaged, Leaking, or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
If you receive:
- A damaged parcel (broken bottle, leaking product, crushed box),
- The wrong item(s), or
- An item you believe to be defective,
please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 5 business days of delivery, at sales@lionscreek.ca with:
- Your order number,
- A description of the issue, and
- Clear photos of:
- The product(s),
- The internal packaging, and
- The outer shipping box and label.
We will review the situation and, where appropriate under our Returns & Refund Policy, we will:
- Replace the affected items, or
- Issue a refund or store credit, and
- Provide instructions regarding return or disposal of damaged goods (if needed).
Items that are discarded without documentation may limit our ability to assist or file claims with carriers.
8. Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate at checkout.
- If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal, or failure to collect from a pickup location:
- We can reship the order once the additional shipping cost is paid, or
- We may refund the order excluding original shipping charges, provided the products are returned to us in resaleable condition.
We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incomplete or inaccurate addresses supplied at checkout.
9. In-Store Purchases & Pickup
This Shipping Policy primarily covers online orders shipped to you.
For in-store purchases at our Moose Jaw flagship:
- You take the goods with you at the time of purchase, and this policy does not apply to those transactions, except as it relates to damaged goods and returns under our Returns & Refund Policy.
If we introduce local pickup for online orders (where available):
- Pickup location details, processing times, and any identification requirements will be shown at checkout and/or in your order confirmation email.
10. Shipping Restrictions
Because our products are food items in glass bottles:
- We reserve the right to refuse or limit shipments to locations where we reasonably believe our products cannot be shipped safely or compliantly.
- Certain promotional items, gift packs, or contents may be restricted to specific regions.
If we are unable to ship your order as placed, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or issue a refund.
11. Changes to This Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes in carriers, rates, packaging, discounts, or legal requirements.
- The latest version will always be available on lionscreek.ca.
- Any changes will apply only to future orders; orders already placed will be handled under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
